About Us

     Kren Collective is a company that was founded in 2020 by Kaylyn Render with one thing in mind. How can she help others through the world of fashion?

     Kaylyn was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. While in Detroit, she fell in love with art and design. She sold juice box purses in middle school. Then, she studied the fundamentals of art in high school. Finally, she completed her traditional studies at Western Michigan University in Textile and Apparel Studies (Fashion Design).

     While in college, she started to develop Kren Collective as we know it. She wanted to create a brand that revolved around giving back to high school students. She thought of what she could do to help young ladies in high school feel just as special as they are. Then in 2017, an idea hit her like a ton of bricks. She was excited to take on the challenge of building a company with such great vision.

     Figuring out a starting point within the company was challenging. After hitting many road blocks she decided to move to Los Angeles, California in 2023. Her goal was to develop the perfect starting point for the company. While in the Los Angeles Fashion District she spent countless days walking, searching, and researching to devise a master plan. Then an idea hit her. 

     Prom is a night of fun, fashion, and friends. It is a very special moment in a young ladies life. It is the first sentimental dress she will wear in her life as she blossoms in womanhood. Finding the right dress to wear on her special night is essential in making prom special. The right dress usually comes with a price. The price of prom dresses have increased drastically over the years. That causes young ladies to miss prom if they can’t afford a dress they love and feel confident in. 

     That is where we come in. Kaylyn created the Petal Project Prom Initiative. The Petal Project will give young ladies in financial hardship access to high-end gowns for an affordable price. When purchasing our gowns It’s no extra fees and shipping is included on all orders. This Initiative makes it possible for every girl to go to prom and make it a night to remember.
